Description
In past centuries, the commonest domestic flea was the human flea In recent vears, however, because of the change in our living conditions, the cat flea has taken over the role of the flea by which man is most frequently bitten, and epidemics of cat fleas have been reported in the popular press. The film explains the reasons behind this change, and deals with the biology of the cat flea in some detail using macro and microphotography. In the light of ths information effective control measures are described. Some of the more interesting remedies used before the advent of modern insecticides are also shown.
