Description

Trigger Films are open-ended films designed to provoke discussion. The raise questions rather than supply answers. Naturally the of such films requires somewhat unconventional techniques. presentation ”Something to talk About'”, made specifically for Colleges of Education, is a record of a teacher’s presentation of Trigger, Films’ “‘Teeth'” (included in the film) to two classes of 12-16-year-olds. It shows a way in which films can be used to trigger a lively involvement and active discussion. The film is not intended as a model for technique. It is, in itself, a trigger for discussion and is an invaluable resource in any teacher-training situation where the use of film or new teaching methods is being considered. The teaching sessions were recorded on video-tape and transferred to film so picture and sound quality is not to modern standards
