Description
This World in Action programme argues that the examination system in our schools is actually harming children, many of whom are leaving school with hardly any education, and a chip on their shoulder, failures judged by present standards. In contrast, an experimental project in which jobless youths were encouraged to strip down and rebuild abandoned cars and race them showed that a totally different attitude to learning can be achieved. May make us question assumptions about the purpose of education.
