Description
A programme for professionals needing basic drug misuse awareness training. It acts as a trigger to stimulate group discussion, addressing many of the preconceptions that people may bring to the topic of drug misuse. Sections include ‘what is a drug?’, ‘why do we take drugs?’, does one drug lead to another?’, ‘what is dependence?’. Hopefully what people will realise from seeing the programme and participating in discussion is that “drug misuse is not a black and white issue, but one that takes you through all shades of grey”.
Made in 1994, this film reflects the cultural attitudes, medical procedures and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards. But the issues raised are timeless.
