Description
Describes peace education in an infants’ school, a middle school and a secondary school in Sheffield. In the primary school non-competitive games encourage the children to feel good about themselves and each other. The middle school have been using simulation games by Christian Aid on international aid, and in the secondary they examine army propaganda – illusion or reality. In this way the children gain a more positive attitude to conflict resolution and are able to think issues through for themselves.
