Description

Three families talk about how they come to terms with the arrival of a child with learning disabilities. The first family have grownup children and a thirteen-year-old girl with Down’s Syndrome; the second an eleven-year-old hydrocephalous boy. the third have a sixteen-year-old hyperactive boy. It is hoped that through the parents talking about their readjustment, their successes and failures, other parents may gain hope and encouragement in coming to terms with their particular situation. Part of a seven-programme series designed for parents.
