Description

Explores some of the experiences of disabled students in higher education. Looks at many aspects of student life and the various ways in which these students cope and are supported. The students are all from a small church college and have a variety of disabilities. These include dyslexia, mental health problems and cerebral palsy.

The support they receive includes specialised computer software and hardware, note takers, one-to-one specialised dyslexia tuition and some old fashioned ‘TLC’. The film briefly explains the social and political context in which the students and staff are operating and the changes that are taking place in universities and colleges for this group, but it is the voices of the students which dominate the video.
