Description
Part 2 from a series of three films sponsored by the Leverhulme Trust and made by the Centre for Extension Studies at Loughborough University of Technology. 1976. for educational use only.
This is a more technical film than part 1 and is not recommended for general audiences. It covers the basic principles of measurement – decibelsm and shows how factors such as absorption, refraction and defraction affect the transmission of sound. The effects of different materials, wind and temperature are demonstrated amusingly and effectively.
