Description

In an attempt to explain the source of the historical conflict, the film describes the history of Nicaragua and it’s historical relationship with the United States. The programme presents a visual panoramic record of the contemporary and historical Nicaragua. In addition, the Nicaraguan people speak for themselves, describing the terror of the Somoza dictatorship, their achievements since its overthrow in 1979, and their response to the US inspired counter-revolution. To the Reagan administration, Nicaragua is part of an international communist conspiracy to spread revolution throughout the Americas, but how much can we rely on their judgement?
