This 1976 film demonstrates the techniques used on how both the helper and the disabled person can manoeuvre with mutual comfort and dignity. It begins with the first principles of movement of the human body and shows the most basic handling techniques. Special attention is given to everyday tasks such as getting in and out of bed and a wheel chair.. The film was made by Margaret Hollis, Principal of Bradford Hospital’s School of Physiotherapy for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in 1976.
