Holistic healing in America: various practitioners are shown but they have in common the idea that patients are capable of curing themselves or even staying healthy, by diet, exercise and other techniques not involving drugs. We see some extraordinary cases, for instance, a young man who had his leg so badly injured in a crash that amputation was considered the only way, but he was lucky enough to see a faith healer and after some time the bones and muscles he had lost actually regenerated themselves. Another case is a young woman paralysed from the waist down who gradually comes back to life by special movement therapy. USA.
This film is of historical interest and reflects the cultural attitudes, medical procedures and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards. But the issues raised are timeless.
