The reasons for having more women in government.
There’s something rotten in the state of democracy. The programme starts with the shocking statistics about the dearth of women in government in the UK and North America, and explores three questions: Why does it matter to have women in government, Why don’t we have more women now, and How do we quickly elect more women. The main interview is with Rt Hon Kim Campbell, the only woman to be head of government in North America. She’s a dynamic, frank and witty speaker. Three political science professors are also interviewed, including Dr Rosi Campbell of University College London. Made by Gretchen Kelbaugh. The three parts can be shown separately if necessary.
