Description
A film based on the work of Phoebe Ann Caldwell, teacher and designer, who has developed play equipment to engage and stimulate adults with severe learning diffculties. It records the progress made over a period of two years among a group of men living in the ward of a mental handicap hospital, and shows the techniques, and some of the equipment, that were used on the project and illustrates the transition from the so-called “play therapy” techniques to more age appropriate activities. Made at Hortham Hospital near Bristol, by the University of Bristol Mental Health Department.
