Originally broadcast as five programmes by Channel 4, it tells the history of Morris Motors plant in Cowley Oxford from 1915 to 1983, through experiences of the people who makes cars. They talk about the work they do, the skills they have learnt and lost, the struggle to build the union, the situation of women workers, the humour and the hazards of making cars.
