YOU & ME Yoga is a system of professional yoga training with a difference – it’s specifically aimed at yoga teachers and allied professionals with two years yoga experience who wish to teach yoga to people with special needs, their carers and their parents. The system is designed to aid the physical and mental development of those with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and severe/multiple disabilities, right across the age range.
The effectiveness of YOU & ME Yoga is widely recognised by health and education. For more than 30 years, this system, developed by Maria Gunstone, has been taught across the UK to help clients with disabilities achieve their full potential. YOU & ME Yoga Training involves a thorough and concise modular programme for teaching clients of all ages and abilities.
The ethos of YOU & ME Yoga is the use of a colour code which assists with both the teaching and learning processes, and lesson planning to ensure health and safety for each individual’s needs and abilities. This unique system with its user-friendly reference and teaching material means that once learnt, it is simple to use.
