Description
Explores the experience and problems faced in fostering adolescence through extremely honest and open conversations with some of the teenagers and foster parents involved in an adolescent placement scheme. Most of the children interviewed have experienced a number of different placements and difficulties in care. The video places as much importance on children’s experiences of fostering as it does on those of the foster parents.
This film made in 1983 reflects the cultural attitudes, social work procedures and language of the time it was made. The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards. But the issues raised are timeless.
