Description

A report on primary education emphasised the importance of teacher/parent co-operation. Referring to children learning to read, the report stated that parents could help their children by ‘reading to them and by hearing them read’. It has taken some time for there to be a greater understanding of the importance of active parental involvement in helping children to read. Although made some years ago, the issues are still relevant today.
