Description
Cape Verde is a dry country, a group of islands off the West African coast. Most of the men emigrate for work, leaving the women and children in the village. We enter the world of the women as they work in the fields, carry water and bring up their children. The women and girls tell their own stories and explain their attitude to men and the place of religion in their culture.
The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
