Description

Britain’s first ethical bank, Mercury Provident Plc, was established in 1974. Depositors explain that it is important that their money is being used positively supporting what they value and believe in. The film also includes visits to six projects that Mercury has helped finance, including Henry Doubleday which promotes organic gardening, Weleda UK (natural medicines) and the Ecological Trading Company which imports ecologically sound timber

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
