Description

A drug addiction centre in South London, run by ex-addicts and headed by a former member of the first Phoenix House in New York. The community runs on a strict hierachical basis, and there is promotion and demotion according to the behaviour of each individual. Attendance is voluntary, and drugs of any kind are not allowed on the premises. When shown on television, the programme was well recieved in it’s own right, and also a record of a method of treatment of drug addiction.
