Description

Designed as a stimulus for discussion for those who are considering working in developing countries as volunteers. It would also be suitable for use with local organisations concerned with Third World Issues and Development Education work generally. The programme looks at how five former volunteers, including one who is now a British MP, learnt from their experience of living and owrking in developing countries. It examines how they were able to get beyond the common media images of the Third world and to learn from the values, skills and traditions of people with whom they were working.
