Description

This film is about people negotiating a new relationship with life after losing a loved one. Parents, children, siblings and friends talk frankly about how they have been affected by the death of someone close to them. One of the people is a young boy whose mother died, and he says that he wishes he had been told beforehand that she was expected to die; he would have coped better with the situation then. Instead he was not told till just the day before her death. Weaving images of ritual and remembrance through their different personal stories, this poetic documentary provides a forum for discussion around the nature and importance of grieving. Canada.
