Description
At the end of 1984, television alerted the world to a tragedy affecting millions of people in Africa. Confronted by such terrible suffering, the public the world over responded on an unprecedented scale. In order to look at how some of this money has been spent and to highlight the issues of long-term development Oxfam asked the distinguished actress Glenda Jackson to visit Ethiopia and make a film giving an independent assessment. She saw work and projects that Oxfam is supporting and looked at ways of preventing such appalling famine occurring again.
Of historical interest.
