In Guatemala, since 1954, over 100,000 people have been killed by a succession of right wing military dictatorships whose human rights record is one of the most appalling in recent history. In addition more than 38,000 people have “disappeared”. Three brave women tell their stories, which are typical. Nineth de Garcia, who is the one remaining founder member of the mutual support group of the relatives of the disappeared; Henara Lopez, an Indian woman from the mountain region, who fled the massacres, and Eva Morales, an 18 year old woman. 18 members of her family have disappeared since 1980,
