Description
What can the professionals do to help the bereaved? In this video we look at different phases of grief. It seems the first thing professionals can do is make the final phase of terminal illness as bearable as possible and allow room for the relatives. Keen eyes and ears can also identify the people who are at risk by not being able to cope with their grief. There are no easy solutions but allowing and admitting to complicated emotions may help. Chapter headings: Preparing for Bereavement, Early Grief, Anger, Physical Symptoms, Abnormal Grief, A Child’s Grief, Support of Friends, Support of Groups, Planning Support.
