This sex education film narrated by Pepsi & Shirlie, provides impartial information about the options available to young people when faced with the reality of an unplanned pregnancy. The film re-reinforces the role of contraception, and stresses the seriousness of abortion as a considered alternative. The format is a series of informal conversations with young people in open discussion on a range of subjects, including sex, contraception, abortion, moral responsibility and teenage motherhood. These young people include single mothers and women who have had abortions. This format is supported by interviews with eminent counsellors, doctors and social workers in the field of health and social welfare.
Made in 1987 this film reflects the cultural attitudes of the country and language of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless. The film quality may not be to modern standards.
