Description

Many people feel that the system of public inquiry on motorways is unfair because it only allows discussion on the route and details of the particular motorway, and not the desirability or other of building more motorways at all. In Winchester there was such an outcry at the inquiry that finally the inspector gave in and allowed these objections. The film shows what led up to this, how the local people, and how John Tyme organised them.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
