Description
Mothers express their views and talk about the experiences of sleeping and crying in young children. The main part of the video consists of interviews with six mothers, both single and married from different backgrounds. It is divided into the following sections: sleeping patterns, tiredness, help from others, crying, and advice to an exhausted mother. The final five minutes contains extracts from a discussion on the rest of the video by members of Catford National Childbirth Trust. The main subjects raised are resentment towards their children and the role of husbands.
Made in 1985 on video at a time when video cameras were not as advanced as today the picture and sound quality are not of the best. But the issues raised are timeless and this film is of value specially for new mothers.
