Description

This film, commisioned by the Anti-Apatheid Movement, exposes how the South African export trade is used to fund apartheid. £808 million worth of goods were imported from Britain in 1988. The need for sanctions is explained clearly and simply, and the video includes poetry by South African children read by John Matshikiza and contributions by Dennis Goldberg, Tanya Abrahmse, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, actresses Judith Jacobs and Tilda Swinton, actor Tom Watt and footballer Paul Davis.

The imagery and film quality may not be to modern standards but is useful for historical use.
