The tradition is that men do not get close to each other in friendship. There is a great fear of homosexuality, and competition is the norm. Men’s friendships are discussed, and some of the men talk about what they have gained by joining men’s groups to deepen their relationships, and gain moral support as their whole outlook toward other people changes. Part of a series of programmes in which a group of ten ordinary men from Coventry talk about their relationships with other people and about their feelings.
This film is of historical interest but the issues raised are still current.
