Description
An interview with a young couple, Sandra and Bill. Sandra has terminal ovarian cancer and they know she has only a short while to live. She explains how she was told about her illness, how she felt, and her reactions to treatment, including a colostomy. Her periods in St Christopher’s Hospice to control the pain were helpful, but she wanted to spend as much time as possible at home with their baby son. She prepared a scrapbook to explain how much she cared for him, and wrote a letter to him as an adult. She talks about her attitude towards religion, and how by planning her own funeral she has not lost control of her own life.
