Description
A British film about three healthcare workers – a nurse and two doctors who visit the Soviet Union as part of a large group interested in seeing for themselves the Soviet health system and meeting their opposite numbers to discuss the medical consequences of nuclear war. In Moscow, Leningrad and Smolensk they form a picture of the differing attitudes to health care between their two countries. They are surprised and heartened at the intensity with which the Soviet people and doctors in particular believe that as far as another war is concerned prevention is much better than cure.
