No animal is more closely associated with one country than the kangaroo is with Australia. Yet the kangaroo is at the heart of an international controversy over wildlife management. To support an industry worth $20 million, up to 3 million kangaroos are slaughtered annually for pet food, souveniers, and leather. The fim has rare footage of kangaroo shooters at work, which is difficult to get due to the controversy surrounding the issue.
