Description
.Felix Greene made this documentary 15 years after the Chinese invasion, when few Westerners had entered Tibet. It examines the changes which took place between 1950, when the Chinese army invaded Tibet and imposed communism on what was then a feudal society, and 1976. There had been great disparity between the rich aristocracy and the majority of the people who were very poor. Nothing is said about the brutal repression of tradition and religion, which were very important to the Tibetan people. Of interest as a document of that time.
