Description
This programme has been made to inform patients and their families about the different specialists they can call on for support, advice and treatment for diabetes and its associated complications. Both insulin dependent and non-insulin dependent patients are observed from the point of initial diagnosis to the establishment of relationships with care professionals. The high quality of an integrated system of care is demonstrated with the assistance of general practices and the well established Diabetes Centre at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. A valuable teaching aid for medical training.
