Description
At the beginning of this section Felix is shown playing with a well-loved neighbour and her three-year-old child. They play a game in which Felix learns to catch. Felix and his mother and father are shown at home engaged in various activities both inside and outside the garden. Felix appears to be managing in a very competent way: his motor development and language are well developed for his age. His anxiety is apparent when filmed before and during his weekly day-separation from his mother when she goes to work. Also some weeks later when he is playing in the garden and his mothers jokingly says “goodbye”. He is shown playing with neighbours’ children on bicycles and playing hide and seek. He ‘helps’ his father mend the siren of a bicycle and his very different relationship with each parent is clearly shown.
