Description
Aimed at those concerned with self-harm and how they should engage with someone who does this, the programme helps to dispel myths, looking at the reality of the experience as a way of coping. The first part is discussion simulation exercises looking at beliefs around self-harm and how these might impact on the way we work with people. In the second part a young woman describes her pathway to self-harm, her experiences with friends, professionals and family and how these helped or hindered her recovery. Animated to protect identity, and with art work created by a young man expressing self-harm thoughts and experiences.
