Description
Shows how a community care scheme works. Care for Guildford is run entirely by volunteers. They provide a 24 hour service for anyone in need, and their duties are varied, including transporting people to and from hospital, visiting and helping people who are housebound, and many neighbourly tasks. The way the volunteers are organised is shown in some detail, so that anyone considering starting such a scheme elsewhere can know how it could be done.
