Description
“Tell the world” they called out to the film crew as they left the black township of Windhoek, Namibia’s capital city. The crew had just filmed a police attack on a demonstration. It was the climax of several weeks secret filming in Africa’s last colony. Though illegally occupied by South Africa, Namibia tended to be forgotten. This documentary – covering the attempt to install an interim government, the education system and the exploitation of the economy – sets out to rectify that neglect. With Namibian music. Written and narrated by Bience Gawanas, one of the thousands of Namibians exiled from their own country. Of historical interest.
