Description

In this video Lily, 91 years of age, explores her feelings about the losses and frustrations she is experiencing in old age, particularly those connected with her deteriorating eyesight. Gaynor, a worker for the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind, listens and responds with empathy to Lily’s concerns and, when appropriate, looks at practical considerations with her. This is their first meeting.
Made in 1999, this film reflects the cultural attitudes and language of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless. The film quality may not be to modern standards.
