Description
A little boy was killed falling off a roof because the children had nowhere to play. The Council seemed indifferent, but the incident catalysed the parents on the estate into action and they decided to fight for an adventure playground. The film is shot like a newsreel – as it happened – and traces the day to day advances and setbacks of the tenants’ action. Director Jenny Barraclough, producer Jonathan Power.
This film was made in 1972, so the film and sound quality is not to modern standards. This should not diminish its value as a historic record.
