Description
A video made by and about people at the Redlands Adult Training Centre; it takes a personal approach, but speaks of wider issues that relate to many people with disabilities. It offers an insight into the lives of people with special needs. As the group say, it was made ‘to show people what we do at the Centre, what we like and what we don’t like. That we’re the same as everybody else and we do things that other people don’t.’
Made in 1989 this film reflects the cultural attitudes of the country and language of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless. The film quality may not be to modern standards.
