This film which is presented by Dr Colin Murray Parkes, deals with a wide range of losses, exemplifying a wider range of experience. It shows the effects of losses on patients, families, carers and health care professionals. Examples of loss from AIDS, amputation, blindness, old age, dementia and Parkinson’s Disease are discussed with patients, their families and carers. Front line professionals including a GP, a specialist and a counsellor, talk about dealing with these issues on a daily basis.
