Description

A very clear and moving account of the actions taken by the women at Greenham Common during that year. Five actions are shown: the 24 hour blockade March 21/22; the Die-In at the Stock Exchange, London, June 7, when Ronald Reagan arrived in Britain; keening in Parliament Square on the following day when Reagan addressed Parliament; occupying the Security Box on August 27 marking the first anniversary of the original march from Wales, and the encircling of the base on Dec. 12.

Made in 1983 this film reflects the cultural attitudes of the country and language of the time it was made. The issues raised are timeless. The film quality may not be to modern standards.
