Bill O’Connell, Senior Lecturer in Counselling at Westhill College, Birmingham, in discussion with Malcolm Brown in the series ‘Approaches to Problem Resolution’.
Bill explains the solution-focused approach, which involves some new ideas, and is being used by professionals and lay people with many encouraging results. It builds on strengths, concentrates on the future and follows the idea that is it more profitable to work around solutions than around problems.
